New private and public investments in R&I

The work plan developed under R4R foresees analysis and matching of regional, national, and European research and innovation agenda’s as well as research needs and capabilities to align them at all levels and ensure efficient synergies and funding opportunities:

  • Analysis of regional and national research and innovation agenda’s. Through SPIRE, R4R will flow strong and innovative ideas into the European research agenda’s;
  • Analysis of the European funded and innovation projects to feed the regional research agenda’s and action plans in the strategic research and development fields selected by the partners.

This identification will provide new insights to strengthen regional policies and highlight the needs to invest in infrastructures, knowledge and partnership. Bringing policy makers and industries together, R4R will foster discussion on financing needs and will ensure synergetic funding opportunities.

  • A major efficiency improvement in the process industries CO2 footprint of up to 50% by 2030.
